March Freebies & How To Use Them

In this blog, I thought it would be fun to share a little education. Oftentimes Young Living gifts us amazing oils and products but then they sit on the shelf because it’s one that isn’t “popular”. Maybe you haven’t needed it or thought to buy it in the past. But oh my goodness, why let a good gift go to waist just because you don’t know how to use it.
Here are some tips from personal use, as well as from the Essential Oils desk Reference 8th addition (EODR). But first, let me share what you get for free when your order is over certain PV (product value) amounts.

(Also knows as Idaho alas Fir) The balsam fir tree — a tree commonly used as a Christmas tree today — has been prized through the ages for its medicinal effects and ability to heal respiratory conditions and muscular and rheumatic pain.
MEDICAL PROPERTIES: Anticoagulant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antitumoral.
USES: Throat/lung/sinus infections, fatigue, arthritis/rheumatism, urinarry tract infections, scoliosis/ lumbago/ sciatica.
FRAGRANT INFLUENCES: Grounding, stimulating to the mind, and relaxing to the body.
DIRECTIONS: Aromatic: Diffuse up to 1 hour 3 times daily or directly inhale. Dietary: take as a dietary supplement. Topical: Dilute 1 drop essential oil with 1 drop V-6 or other pure carrier oil and apply 2-4 drops on location, chakras, and/or Vita Flex points. May use neat in Raindrop Technique. Dilution not required except on the sensitive skin.
RutaVaLa™ essential oil blend, 5 ml
Create a next-level night routine. Combine this blend with water in a spray bottle and spritz the calming aroma on your pillow after a hectic day.
Treat your feet. Dilute this blend and massage into your soles before your evening meditation.

Rue has long been used in South America to promote relaxation of the body and mind, relieve and soothe stressed nerves, and revitalize passion.
INGREDIENTS: Lavender, Valerian, Rue.
DIRECTIONS: Aromatic: Diffuse 30 minutes 3 times daily or directly inhale. Topical: Dilute 1 drop essential oil with 1 drop V-6 or other pure carrier oil. Apply several drops to wrist, temples, neck, or desired location as needed. Apply to bottoms of feet; children love it.
Copaiba essential oil, 5 ml
Revive your resolve. Invigorate your day by inhaling this sweet, woodsy scent for a refreshing experience.
Boost your bath. Embrace a moment of solo time by adding drops of Copaiba and Peace & Calming® to a gentle soak.

Healers and curanderos in the Amazon use copaiba resin for all types of pain and inflammatory disorders, both internal (stomach ulcers and cancer) and external (skin disorders and insect bites) … In Peruvian traditional medicine, three or four drops of the resin are mixed with a spoonful of honey and taken as a natural throat remedy. It is also employed as Peruvian and Brazilian herbal medicine systems as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic for urinary tract (cystitis, bladder, and kidney disorders) and in the treatment of urinary problems, stomach ulcers, syphilis tetanus, bronchitis, and tuberculosis … In Brazilian herbal medicine, the resin is highly regarded as a strong antiseptic and expectorant for the respiratory tract (including bronchitis and sinusitis) and as an antiseptic gargle. It is a popular home remedy in Brazil for sore throat and tonsillitis (1/2 teaspoon or resin is added to warm water).
Note: The word “Copal” is derived from the Spanish word for incense (Corelli) and can refer to any number of different resinous gums or exudates from trees in Malaysia and South America. Copals are known as black (Protium copal), white (blanco) (Bursera bipinnata), gold (oro) (H. couraril), and Brazilian (Copaifera langsdorfii or reticulata). Only the Brazilian copal or copaibbab has GRAS distinction in the U.S. and has the most published research on its anti-inflammatory effects.
MEDICAL PROPERTIES: Anti-inflammatory (power), neuroprotective, antimicrobial, anxiolytic, mucolytic, anti ulcer, anticancer, antiseptic, kidney stone preventative.
USES: Pain relief (strong anti-inflammatory), arthritis, rheumatism, cancer, skin disorders (psoriasis), insect bites, stomach distress, urinary disorders, sore throat, anxiety.
DIRECTIONS: Aromatic: Diffuse up tp 1 hour 3 times daily of directly inhale. Dietary: Put 2 drops in a capsule and take 3 times daily or as needed. As an alternative, add it to rice milk, etc., as a dietary supplement. Topical: Apply on location or apply on chakras and/or Vita Flex points. Dilution not needed except for the most sensitive skin.
COPAIBA VITALITY: Usage Directions - Put 2 drops in a capsule. Take 3 times daily or as needed.

The French scientist Rene Gattefosse was the first to discover lavender’s ability to promote tissue regeneration and speed up wound healing when he severely burned his arm in a laboratory explosion. Today, lavender is one of the few oils to still be listed in the British Pharmacopoeia.
MEDICAL PROPERTIES: antiseptic, anti fungal, analgesic, antitumoral, anticonvulsant, vasodilation, relaxant, anti-inflammatory, reduces blood fat/cholesterol, combats excess sebum on skin.
USES: Respiratory infections, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, central problems/ PSM, skin conditions (perineal repair, acne, eczema, psoriasis, scarring, stretch marks), burns, hair loss, insomnia, nervous tension.
FRAGRANT INFLUENCES: Calming, relaxing, and balancing, both physically and emotionally, Lavender has been documented to improve concentration and mental acuity. University of Miami researchers found that inhalation of lavender oil increased beta waves in the brain, suggesting heightened relaxation. It also reduces depression and improved cognitive performance. A 2001 Osaka Kyoiku University study found that lavender reduced mental stress and increased alertness.
DIRECTIONS: Aromatic: Diffuse up to 1 hour 3 times daily or directly inhale. Topical: Apply 2-4 droops on location, chakras, and/or Vita Flex points. Dilution not required except for most sensitive skin.
CAUTION: True lavender is often adulterated with hybrid lavender (lavender), synthetic linalol and lineally acetate, or synthetic fragrance chemicals like ethyl vanillin.
Lavender Vitality: Usage Directions - Put 2 drops in a capsule. Take 3 times daily.

Clary sage seeds were historically used bye soaking the seeds and using the mucilage as an eye-wash and to draw thorns or splinter from the skin. It was also used to treat skin infections, acne, digestive disorders, women’s ailments, and soothe and calm the skin. Aromatically, clary sage was used to enhance the immune system, calm digestive disorders, reduce inflammation such as eczema, calm muscle spasms, and for respiratory conditions.
MEDICAL PROPERTIES: Anticoagulant, antioxidant, antidiabetic, estrogen-like, anti fungal, antispasmodic, relaxant, cholesterol-reducing, antitumoral, anesthetic
