Valentine’s Day Pampering Ideas with Essential Oils
Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that can be simple and fun, stressful and over-planned, uneventful and boring, or romantic and over-the-top AMAZING! Depending on your relationship status, this holiday will take on its own flavor. There’s one thing I know for certain . . . Young Living Essential Oils has so many amazing products to help support your Valentine’s Day enjoyment this year.
I thought it would be fun to share with you a few great pampering ideas. Whether you’re looking to create a romantic evening for your special someone, do a little self-pampering, or celebrate with friends, I believe you’ll find at least one way to implement the power and romantic essence of essential oils into your Valetine’s Day.
Diffuser Recipes
If you’re simply looking for a good diffuser recipe to help set the atmosphere, here you go. I also highly recommend lighting a few unscented candles and turning on your favorite mood-setting music. The nice thing about diffusing essential oils is that you really can’t get it wrong. Honestly! You can add a single oil to your diffuser, an oil blend, or make your own oil blend. As long as you’re choosing a scent that you enjoy and that helps create the mood you’re going for, it will be a wonderful experience.
If you don’t yet have a diffuser, you can purchase one from Young Living Essential Oils. I trust this brand over buying one at the grocery store because they always supply the best products that work and last a long time.

Known for its distinct aroma and calming properties, Frankincense is one of our most versatile essential oils. If you’re curious what scent was wafting through the air in the palace in Egypt or the baths in Rome, try out one of these diffusers recipes with Frankincense. These are also great scents for men who enjoy a more woodsy and grounding aroma.
Perfume & Cologne
Looking for an alternative to perfume or cologne? Trying to go all-natural, kick the toxins out of your bathroom and bedroom, while also smelling amazing?
Here is Young Living’s recommendation for his and hers fragrances. These can easily be made up ahead of time and put into a roller bottle or a tincture bottle with a dropper. The recipe can be doubled or tripled if desired. You can also reuse an old essential oil bottle that’s been cleaned out and washed thoroughly.
For The Men . . .
Guys, if you’re looking forward to a romantic eventing with your spouse, Goldenrod may be your best get-up-and-go option.
Diffuse Goldenrod in the evening to help create a calm, relaxing environment. Dilute 80/20 and apply to lower abdomen area. (just think of the name of this oil and you can probably discover how it promotes feelings of romance)
The second runner up is Shutran. Shutran was formulated by Gary Young as an empowering premium essential oil blend specially formulated for men to boost feelings of masculinity and confidence. Shutran is the perfect natural cologne that appeals to both men and women. Apply where desired, and always dilute when used near sensitive areas or if irritation occurs. Behind the ears, on wrists and insides of ancles is a good place to start.
Bath Time
Who doesn’t love a good soak! Bath time can be the most relaxing 20-30 minutes of a person’s day. Plus, you can make it extra special by infusing a warm bath with essential oils, Epsom Salt, rose petals or lavender buds. Bath time is a time to go all out!
Men, one of the MOST romantic things you can do all 365 days of the year is make your wife a warm bath infused with essential oils. Valentine’s Day is just one of those extra special days when you can go all out. I will also share a few scents that you’ll enjoy as well, especially if you tend to like more masculine scents versus the flowery scents.
If you’re looking to keep bath time simple, yet full of scent, try Young Living’s Bath Bombs! They generally have the Lavender Calming Bath Bombs, Sweet Maple Bath Bombs, and Stress Away Bath Bombs in stock year round.
Looking to get a little more creative with a DIY option . . . here are a few options that are great to make a multiple batch of and put in a large glass jar with a lid for storage.
TIP: You can swap out the oils mentioned for a mixture of your own desired scents.
Oil-Infused Recipes
For all of the foodies out there, cooking and baking with Young Living’s Vitality oils is the perfect way to introduce your loved ones and friends to the power of essential oils for use as flavoring and dietary support.
Not only is Peppermint Vitality a wonderful addition to your favorite browning box, it also has properties that support healthy digestion. Adding 1-3 drops of Orange Vitality to homemade Whipped Cream is a delicious topper for fruit salad. Lemongrass Vitality can be a substitute for Lemongrass in Chicken Wild Rice Soup. The list is endless.
To get your appetite up for trying many more recipes with Vitality oils, here's a starter that’s delicious for breakfast or a sweet treat any time of the day.

Stamina!
One thing you’re going to need on Valentine’s Day is stamina. This is definitely not a day you want to be low on energy. Fun can be had from morning till night and you certainly don’t want to be that one who ”needs” an afternoon nap, unless that’s part of the agenda.
My favorite go-to for energy are Young Living’s NingXia Products.
NingXia Nitro = natural energy shot
NingXia Zyng = healthy soda alternative
NingXia Red = overall body tonic that’s full of the nutrients your body needs to have steady energy throughout the day
Incorporating and one of these beverages into your day will help add pep to your step. Combining any two adds and extra punch. And splurging with a triple threat combo is simply all-out magic!
Here are some of my favorite recipes that incorporate NingXia and Vitality oils.

Essential Oil-Infused Beverages & Mocktails
Yes, this is another thing Young living has going for them! NingXia Red, Zyng, Nitro and Vitality oils are a perfect way to create healthy versions of some of your favorite recipes.
