Embrace Hope When Life Happens

When was the last time you realized that things were just a little off or you were feeling a little down? It’s okay, it happens to the best of us. With all that’s going on in the world, we absolutely need to fill our Hope Tank on a daily basis. I’m convinced that there is an invisible reservoir of hope that we can access, and make deposits and withdrawals from on a daily basis. Ultimately, our hope comes from the God, the creator of heaven and earth.

In this blog I’d like to share some of the key things I do on a regular basis to keep my Hope Tank filled and emotions in balance. As you can imagine, essential oils are one of my main go-to’s for emotional support. However, faith and prayer are a big part of the journey as well. Daily exercise, healthy food choices, and mindset also play a roll.

DID YOU KNOW … Just 20 minutes of exercise a day helps oxygenate the body, enhances brain function, and uplift emotions. Check out my #GetMoving blog for more on that.

DID YOU KNOW … Writing in the old school way with a pen and paper helps the brain put thoughts, feeling and emotions into words. Writing out complete sentences can better help you understand and process all the swirling pieces of life. Journaling can become a daily, weekly or monthly practice that you will look back on in the years to come and learn from. You will be amazing upon going back to read what you wrote a little or a long while back. You will see your progress and hopefully be encouraged to see where you started and where you have arrived. Plus, it can help you remember details of your life and thoughts that you may have otherwise forgotten.

DID YOU KNOW … Cleaning up your living space and getting rid of clutter will help you think better and have more energy. Yes! Stuff sucks up energy. Try going to bed with piles of laundry, books, papers, and random stuff laying around. See how you feel when you wake up. Then clean things up, say bye bye to clutter and wake up to tidy surroundings. How does your body and mind and emotions respond to these two different surroundings? 💫 ps, making your bed first thing in the morning helps too 💫

Oils To The Rescue

Along the lines of essential oils, there’s a phenomenal protocol created by Gary Young that I enjoy using periodically. This Great Day protocol is one that truly helps me get through those rough days when I feel less than balanced, unmotivated, discouraged or just plain blah for no reason. The beautiful part is, since I now keep these oils on hand, I use them even when I don’t “feel like I need them”. They work to promote a feeling of balance so that I have less of the down days and more of the hopeful days.

Here’s how I use this protocol.

If you’re familiar with these oils and have them on hand then I encourage you to try this protocol once a day for a week, even if you feel great. Just try it and see if you don’t get an extra little pep in your step.

If you’re brand new to the wonderful world of essential oils and would like to try these oils, give me a call at 833-357-5777 and I can help you place an order. You can also CLICK HERE to go to a personal shopping cart with these oils already added. When you check out YL will link our accounts together so that I can be your go-to-gal. I’d love to support you during your wellness journey.

The Essence of Hope

Have you ever contemplated where hope comes from? Hope is different than happiness in nature. It’s different than joy, although closely related. Hope has a source!

In the Holy Bible there are 550 verse in the Old and New Testament that include the word hope. Wow! That’s a lot. That’s more than 365 days in a year. So wouldn’t you think that hope is a very important thing? In fact, it’s essential.

Hope can be a noun in the sense that it is an actual substance. Hope can also be a verb in that it is an action. At times we must hold on to hope when things around us feel like they are crashing down. In the same way we can hope that tomorrow will be a better day.

Let’s take a look at a few verses that talk about hope.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12 (NIV)

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.’ Romans 15:13 (NIV)

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 1:11 (KJV)

“Do not let your zeal subside; keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer.” Rooman’s 12:11-12 (BSB)

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)

“And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (Amplified Bible)

“Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Psalm 25:5 (NIV)

“ …Who hopes for what he can already see? But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently.” Romans 8:24-25 (BSB)

Personal Application

How can you see the element of hope playing a roll in your life?

What are you currently hoping for?

Have you had any hopes deferred like Proverbs 13:12 says? If so, how is that effecting your daily life?

What or who do you put your hope in? Do you put your hope in God, or your job, or a significant other? What is your “lifeboat” when the seas of life get rough, and is that lifeboat the most reliable source of comfort?

If you are not putting your hope in the right thing, how can you go about changing your mindset and your focus in order to put your hope in something that will truly be a solid foundation?

My Own Experience

Throughout life’s ups and downs I have found that the most solid foundation that I can put my hope in is God. After all, He created the universe and knows exactly how it functions. He is not some far-off idea. He is present with us each and every day. His love is so great and we can confidently put our hope in Him all day.

Just recently I decided to start filling my Hope Tank on a daily basis by viewing my Dream Board and starting to dream again. There was a period of time where circumstances just seemed unsurmountable and I couldn’t see the road ahead. Some days it is still a foggy path. But I choose to believe that God has a good plan for my life and that He has so much more for me to do, people to serve, things to create, and places to go.

Sometimes at our lowest moments it is comforting to remember that we don’t have to have it all together. No one is perfect, absolutely no one. And no matter how hard you try to put on a smile and fake it till you make it, eventually you will start to making it.

I do enjoy using essential oils on the good days and bad. I’m so grateful for a good source of oils, and a family of like-minded health enthusiasts that I have in the international Young Living family. I’m thankful and hopeful that I have blessed many lives and will continue to bless more lives while sharing education on God’s medicine. It is a pleasure and an honor to know that I can help someone’s day and their overall wellbeing.

I feel most hopeful on the days when I’ve had personal interaction with people. Yes, I’m a HUGE people person. If I don’t have time with people it just feels like I haven’t accomplished my mission for the day. My goal is always to bring out the best in people, to make them smile, to give an encouraging word and find the gold in them. I’m a peace maker and a peace keeper. It brings me joy when peace and hope and love and joy is the outcome of a personal interaction.

The most important thing when it comes to healthy emotions for me personally is that I know my hope comes from the God, the creator of heaven and earth. He is the highest power in all the universe and I know that when I pray and ask God to align my heart with His then I come closer into alignment with His good and perfect will for my life. Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my life verses.

Maybe you can find a greater sense of hope in God as well. He loves you so very much and He is rooting for you! I’m rooting for you, even if we’ve never met. I hope we meet one day! (Email me and share your story of hope. I’d love to hear it.)

In conclusion, thank you for reading my blog and I hope it was a blessing to you. Feel free to share it. If we have not yet met but you would like to connect, go to the Contact Page on this site and send me an email.

Much Love! Till next time . . .

Elizabeth Rose
